Aim: To check and reset iLive system network addresses.
Tools: Probe approx 1 – 2mm diameter, minimum 2cm length. Tinned copper wire or paper clip is OK.
Overview: To reset the network addresses to default always reset the Touch Screen, Surface and MixRack. Do all three.
The Surface and MixRack have two steps – a hard reset where you hold a hidden reset switch while powering up, followed by re-selecting the Surface and MixRack on-screen.
The touch screen only has one step – re-set the IP address on-screen. There is no hard reset.
Touch screen (SBC)
STEP 1 Reset the touch screen (SBC) network address:
- Go to Utility menu, Network, Network Setup (not Network Connections).
- Touch the Reset Network Setting button for the Touch
- Touch the Apply
- Touch the Restart Units button.
MixRack
STEP 1 Hard reset the MixRack network address:
- Power OFF the
- Insert the probe into the hole in the MixRack CPU labelled Reset.
- There is a switch inside the hole – hold the switch
- Hold the switch IN and power ON the
- Allow MixRack to boot. Approx 15
- Release
STEP 2 Select the MixRack:
- In the touch screen Utility page select Network.
- Touch the Network Connections button (not Network Setup).
- Touch the Change MixRack
- Touch the MixRack
- Press Apply
- Press Reset Touch Screen
STEP 1 Hard reset the Surface network address:
- Power OFF the
- Insert the probe into the hole in the CPU labelled Reset.
- There is a switch inside the hole – hold the switch
- Hold the switch IN and power
- Allow the surface to boot. Approx 15
- Release
STEP 2 Select the Surface:
- In the touch screen Utility page select Network.
- Touch the Network Connections button (not network Setup).
- Touch the Change Surface
- Touch iLive Surface
- Press Apply
- Press Reset Touch Screen
