Symptoms:
- When iLive MixPad connects to a MixRack the app loads the channel names and fader levels, but the screen is greyed with the spinning wheel in the centre. It will remain in this state for a while until the app runs out of memory.
- When changing the side chain for a gate or compressor the application logs out (gets minimized).
- As soon as a mix is selected, the application logs out (gets minimized).
These symptoms occur because of a low memory condition causing the app to exit.
iLive MixPad has to be the only application running on an iPad device due to the amount of processing and data it handles.
Because of this, it needs a lot of RAM.
On multi-tasking iOS several iPad apps may be running in the background, consuming RAM.
In the first instance, quit all open apps on the iPad.
Once you have closed all applications please try running iLive MixPad again.
Should you experience the same issues, please hard power off the iPad by pressing and holding the power button, then swipe to turn it off.
After switching the iPad back on don't launch any other apps, just try running MixPad.
If you are still getting problems please contact A&H Tech Support by submitting a ticket at http://www.allen-heath.com/support.
There are logs we can get from the iPad to tell us what is going wrong and investigate further. These need to be sent to us for examination.
A&H Tech Support can provide details on how to get these logs from your system.
You may be also be asked for further diagnostic steps using a free system diagnostic application and a .XLS file that we would like you to follow.
