Avantis supports the importing and exporting of certain channel parameters by way of Comma Separated Values (csv) files.
Parameters that can be Imported and Exported in this way are:
- Channel Name
- Channel Colour
- Channel Patch Socket
- Socket Gain, PAD & Phantom Power
- Output Socket Patch
The CSV Import / Export allows you to start either an Import or an Export.
When Importing files any values that cannot be merged into the show-file will be shown here with a brief error description.
You can also suppress successful imports by enabling “Show only Errors And Warnings”.
The csv lines are grouped into the following sections, ‘Version’, ‘Channels’, ‘Outputs’ and ‘Virtual Soundcheck’
Each section must start with a new line, with the title in square brackets such as [Version] or [Channels].
Items marked with a *1 do not use the stereo ‘Left’ or ‘Right’ tag to choose the Left or Right side of the source, but instead each channel is individual. For example, Main L, R and Msum would be Main 1, Main 2 and Main 3.
When two processing channels are sourced from the same socket, but different preamp values have been supplied, the first Preamp value will be used. This also applies to stereo channels.
Channels
Rows under the Channels section will be written to the channels in the showfile. Each column provides a different function.
When used with PAD, the gain value must still be given without the PAD offset. 0dB would be Gain: 20, PAD: On.

Outputs
Rows under the Outputs section patch the different output sockets to the sources assigned. If the source is a bus, will be patched as an ‘Output’.
If the source is another socket, it will be patched as a ‘Tie Line’.
If the source is an input, it will be patched as a ‘Direct Out’.

Virtual Soundcheck
Rows under the Virtual Soundcheck (VSC) section patch the different audio sources, to Input channels for use when VSC is enabled.
The functions for each column are shown below,
All VSC sources must be sourced from the same Source Type (e.g. IO 1). The first VSC channel configured will set the Source Type for all channels. Any Source Type values after the first line will be ignored.
