The SQ+ can import data created and stored using an original SQ, once it has been placed in the correct folder on the drive using a computer.
The following presumes you have a drive that already contains data stored using an SQ.
Connecting the drive to an SQ+ will automatically create the correct new folders for SQ+ data. Otherwise, folders will need to be created manually.
Both SQ and SQ+ use the \AHSQ\ folder on the drive for all audio and data storage.
Inside this, the following folders can be seen and used by both SQ and SQ+
\AHSQ\USBPLAY - Stereo audio *.WAV files for playback.
\AHSQ\USBREC - Stereo audio *.WAV files which have been recorded using the mixer.
\AHSQ\USBMTK - Individual folders for each multitrack recording made using the mixer, with each folder containing multiple *.WAV files for each channel recorded.
The SQ then uses the following folders for data
\AHSQ\SHOWS - Contains a numbered folder for each SQ Show, which includes all Show data
\AHSQ\SCENES - Individual SQ Scenes which have been transferred to the drive
\AHSQ\LIBRARY - Individual SQ Libraries which have been transferred to the drive
And the SQ+ has three equivalent folders
\AHSQ\SQP-SHW - Contains a numbered folder for each SQ+ Show, which includes all Show data
\AHSQ\SQP-SCN - Individual SQ+ Scenes which have been transferred to the drive
\AHSQ\SQP-LIB - Individual SQ+ Libraries which have been transferred to the drive
Entire SQ Show folders can therefore be copied from \AHSQ\SHOWS to \AHSQ\SQP-SHW for use with an SQ+
SQ Scene files can be copied from \AHSQ\SCENES to \AHSQ\SQP-SCN,
and SQ Library files from \AHSQ\LIBRARY to \AHSQ\SQP-LIB
ⓘ As all data is numbered starting at 0 for each SQ or SQ+ folder, be careful not to overwrite any SQ+ data that has already been stored on the drive!
Once copied, the data can be seen and recalled (and overwritten) by the SQ+ in the same way as all other data.
ⓘ Sharing the same root folder but having different data folders allows audio recorded on SQ to be played back on SQ+ and vice versa. The separate data folders prevents SQ from being able to 'see' the newer SQ+ data that it cannot use, and avoids accidentally overwriting SQ data when using an SQ+.
