Any of the mono and stereo faders can be replaced with ones that incorporate a switch.
The part numbers for the switched faders are given in the options section in the user guide.
Studio monitoring:
It is necessary for the studio monitors to be muted when the studio mic fader is brought up to prevent feedback.
The main LR outputs (to broadcast) are duplicated on the AB outputs. The AB outputs go through relays, the contacts of which are normally closed.
Use the AB outputs as studio monitors. Fit a switched fader to the studio mic channel.
The fader switch is then soldered to pads provided on the rear circuit board.
When the fader is raised, the switch causes the relay top to open thus muting the studio monitors.
Remote control:
Most of your proposed equipment list will connect directly to the mixer stereo inputs. Any of these channel faders can be fitted with switched faders.
Leads from the switch contacts can be terminated on the rear panel of the mixer on a D sub connector - it's up to you how you want to wire it up.
These switch contacts can be used to operate, directly or via external relays, other equipment that has provision for this type of remote control.
For instance, depending on the brand and model (we do not specify or recommend any third party equipment) you may have a CD player that has provision to be put into Play mode via the action of an outside switch or relay.
Equipment thus equipped can be triggered/turned on automatically when the channel fader is brought up.
Before you purchase the rest of the kit, check to see if there is any provision for remote control, actuated by a simple switch (the fader switches are in effect, latching, either normally open or normally closed, depending on how you choose to polarise the switch wiring.)
