Q: I am considering purchasing a Xone 464. I would require Aux send 1 to 4 to be post-fader?
is there some modification that can be made to allow this?
A:
If you need to send a signal from stereo inputs to AUX 1-4 post-fade; it's possible to do so without modification, by assigning the channel/s to the x-fader and using XFADE TO AUX send controls (above the VCF controls) for routing signal to the required AUX bus (see p9 of the Xone:464 User Guide). If sending via the x-fader option doesn't accommodate the routing you need, it is possible to modify AUX sends from stereo inputs to POST-Fade/Post-EQ buses, through modification of the input circuitry on a per-channel basis.
This modification is not a major alteration to the standard circuit (and would be reversible), but it is not a jumper, or link option and would therefore require soldering and drilling.
If you're looking to modify ALL channel AUXs to Post-Fade, including the MONO inputs, this should also be possible, but also requires custom modification to the standard circuitry on a per-channel basis.
Please be advised that any modification should only be carried out by suitably qualified or experienced electronics engineers and that, unless the modification is made by an authorised Allen & Heath agent, any change may affect the terms and conditions of the product's standard warranty.
