There's no reason why this shouldn't work. You can 'patch in' the controller by connecting the Slave Outputs of the PA to the inputs of the controller, and take the outputs from the controller to the AMP In connectors, thereby putting the controller in series with the outputs between the output PEQ and the amps.

The same principle is true of other speaker control systems.
