FireWire (IEE1394) is a daisy-chainable protocol, you can have up to 64 FireWire devices on a single FireWire bus.

Two ICE-16 units can be connected via Firewire to expand I/O. Two ICE-16 units connected via Firewire will be seen by your DAW as one device with expanded I/O.
