These instructions are for Qu mixers with built-in Dante, including the Qu-5D, Qu-6D and Qu-7D.

This firmware is for the Dante module only, updating the Qu mixer firmware is a separate process.

Updating the Firmware

ⓘ Qu Dante module updates are not currently supported by the Audinate Firmware update manager and must be updated via a web browser.

1. Download the latest firmware from www.allen-heath.com/resources and save the .zip file.

2. Extract the .zip file and ensure you have the correct update file, which is named QUDante16.q16

   ⓘ The firmware version number is included in the .zip file name only.

3. Connect a computer to the Qu's Dante port, directly or via a network.

   ⓘ Do not attempt to update Dante over the Control Network Bridge via the Network port of the Qu.

   ⓘ Do not attempt to update Dante via a computer connected to the network via WiFi.

4. Find the IP address of the Qu Dante module using the “Device Info” tab of Dante Controller.

   
    

5. Open a browser on the computer and enter the IP address of the Dante module into the address bar to access the updater.

   ⓘ Ensure your computer and the Dante module are in the same  subnet.

6. Follow the instructions on screen, using the correct Qu Dante file.

   ⓘ Do not interrupt the firmware update process.

7. Once the Dante module has been updated, confirm all channel subscriptions and clock settings are correct in Dante Controller.
