CQ-12T and CQ-18T Factory Reset
- Start with the power off.
- Hold ‘HOME’ and Soft Key ‘1’ whilst powering on the unit.
- Continue to hold until the unit has fully booted.
ⓘ A Factory reset will clear all stored data including Scenes and Libraries and reset all preferences and network settings to their default values. Before carrying out a factory reset, it is best practice to store a Show which can be recalled again later if needed.
CQ-20B Factory and Network Only Resets
- Power on the unit and allow to boot.
- If the network connection has already been set up and the system boots normally, the ‘CM’ LED will illuminate GREEN ● by default, or behave as it has been set to in the system preferences.
If the ‘CM’ LED flashes BLUE ● or YELLOW ● then the CQ has already been reset and a network reset is not needed. - Use a small, pointed but not sharp object (e.g. a pencil) to press and hold the ‘RESET’ button, the ‘CM’ LED will illuminate WHITE ●, hold the button down for 2 seconds and release to access the reset menu.
- Press the button momentarily (for less than 2 seconds) to cycle through 3 reset options:
- ‘CM’ LED lights RED ● = Factory reset
All mixer parameters will be set to default values.
All data stored on the CQ (including scenes and libraries) will be deleted.
Wi-Fi and Ethernet network settings will be set to default values and method of connection must be re-selected. - ‘CM’ LED lights BLUE ● = Wi-Fi reset

Ethernet settings set to default values and Ethernet connection is active.
- ‘CM’ LED lights RED ● = Factory reset
- With the ‘CM’ LED showing the colour matching the reset to be performed, press and hold the ‘RESET’ button for 2 seconds to action the reset.
ⓘ To exit the reset menu, do not interact with the ‘RESET’ button for 10 seconds.
Default Network Settings
On first boot or after a reset, network defaults are as follows:
Enabled Network
- CQ-12T – Ethernet
- CQ-18T – Ethernet
- CQ-20B – WiFi Access Point
Wi-Fi settings (CQ-18T, CQ-20B)
- Security is set to ‘OPEN’ (no password is required to connect a device).
- Password is blank and must be set.
- Frequency is ‘2.4GHz’.
- Channel is set to ‘AUTO’.
- SSID is ‘Visible’.
- SSID is [CQ18T_XXXX or CQ20B_XXXX] where XXXX are the last 4 digits of the serial number.
Ethernet settings
- IP Mode is ‘Automatic’
- The unit will be assigned an IP address by a DHCP server (e.g. a connected router), devices on the same network and in the same network range running CQ-MixPad can then connect to the unit.
- If no address is provided, the CQ will automatically assign itself a local address. This allows for a direct connection to a computer using a network cable.
Ethernet (if IP Mode is switched to Manual without making changes)
- IP Address 192.168.1.62
- Gateway 192.168.1.254
- Subnet 24 (255.255.255.0)
