Notes
ⓘ Firmware updates are included in the SQ+ MixPad app, available for iOS and Android. To carry out an update from SQ+ MixPad, ensure the app is up to date, connect to your SQ+ and follow the on-screen instructions.
ⓘ Firmware can be installed via USB, firmware files are downloaded as a compressed ZIP folder containing a *.bin file. Ensure you have the correct file for the SQ+ model you are updating.
SQ5+ = SQ5PUPG_2_0_3_r7019.bin
SQ6+ = SQ6PUPG_2_0_3_r7019.bin
SQ7+ = SQ7PUPG_2_0_3_r7019.bin
ⓘ Format your USB device using the SQ+ mixer format utility. Not all USB devices will be compatible with the SQ+ mixer. Use the device only for the SQ+ mixer once you have formatted it and checked it to work correctly with the mixer.
ⓘ If using SQ+ MixPad or SQ+ 4You apps, ensure that the first two numbers of the firmware and app versions match.
ⓘ Scenes and Shows created with an earlier version of firmware can be recalled on an SQ+ running more recent firmware releases but Scenes and Shows created using the latest firmware cannot be recalled on older firmware.
ⓘ To load a Scene, Show or Library created on SQ-5, SQ-6 or SQ-7, you need to move the files to the correct folder of the USB device first, e.g.
- SQ Shows are stored in the SHOWS folder, SQ+ Shows are stored in the SQP-SHW folder
- SQ Scenes are stored in the SCENES folder, SQ+ Scenes are stored in the SQP-SCN folder
- SQ Libraries are stored in the LIBRARY folder, SQ+ Libraries are stored in the SQP-LIB folder
ⓘ Updating firmware will not clear or delete data, but it is best practice to store a Show before carrying out an update.
