Setting the direct out per mono input channel to pre-fade is done by moving link J33 to J32 and will make the direct output follow the settings of the pre-fade aux send (post-EQ, post-On as standard) links.

 The best way to do this is probably to cut and separate the ends of the wire in 'J33’ and fit a new link in 'J32'. This makes it a lot easier to go back again should you wish to.

The pre-fader direct out then follows the source set for the pre-fader aux sends, as shown in the block diagram in the User Guide (default is post-EQ, post-ON).

 To change this for the direct outputs and the pre-fade auxes, you may need to change J22 / J23 and J28 / J29.

With good tools it should not be necessary to remove the channels from the mixer to do this, but it may help to remove alternate channels for space.
