When applying a Patchbay Recall Filter or Global Safe, it's important to understand these affect Inserts. 

Applying the Insert Patchbay safe will always maintain any Insert assignments. However if your Input Patchbay or Output Patchbay are also Blocked, this will also affect the Insert Send and Return points. 

Blocking the Output Patchbay will stop any Insert Send Point changes from being recalled, likewise blocking the Input Patchbay will stop any Insert Return Point changes from being recalled. 

To change Insert Points using scenes, it is therefore necessary to ensure all Patch Bay Recall Filters and Global Safes are not Blocked.
